Verisma Academy is proud to host an in-person health information (HI) roundtable for professionals near Albuquerque and the surrounding area. We're bringing together visionaries in archiving, care coordination, release of information, value-based care, and other engaging topics for an interactive discussion. 

 

Regional HI leaders in the region will collaborate on industry operational challenges and best practices at D.H. Lescombes Winery & Bistro, the best restaurant in Albuquerque's historic Old Town for an afternoon of educational sessions and gourmet food.

Current topics will be covered with breaks for professional networking. This event is co-marketed by, and open to New Mexico HIMA and New Mexico MGMA members.

Connie has been in the HIM industry for over 25 years. In addition to her leadership role at Verisma, Connie is a professor and program director at San Diego Mesa College, CHIA president-elect, and entrepreneur.

Elizabeth McElhiney, MHA, CHPS, CPHIMS, CRIS

Director of Compliance, Verisma

Ms. McElhiney is responsible for the administration of Verisma’s privacy and compliance programs, working with clients to implement evidence-based best practices, and overseeing Verisma’s thought leadership initiatives. She currently sits on the ILHIMA Board of Directors and serves as a delegate to the AHIMA House of Delegates. She is also the current Secretary and CRIS Chairperson at the Association of Health Information Outsourcing Solutions (AHIOS).

Barbara has over 40 years of experience in HIM. Most recently she was the Assistant Vice President of HIM for the Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia, PA. Einstein is a multi-facility 800+ bed teaching integrated healthcare system. Prior to Einstein, Barbara was the Corporate Director of HIM for ChristianaCare, a 1000+ bed teaching healthcare network in Wilmington, DE.
