
Jennifer Mueller, MBA, RHIA, SHIMSS, FACHE, FAHIMA, FACHDM
Senior Vice President, Health Information Career Advancement and Academic Affairs, AHIMA
Jennifer leads initiatives to assess and meet professional and training needs of the HI workforce. She oversees AHIMA’s (continuing education unit) CEU development, educational quality initiatives, and member career advancement strategies. In addition, she provides leadership for Academic Affairs and the Council for Excellence in Education, advancing initiatives strengthening the profession through curriculum development, faculty support, workforce readiness, research, and efforts to build awareness of the field. Jennifer also served as VP and Privacy Officer at the Wisconsin Hospital Association Information Center, VP and CIO at Watertown Regional Medical Center. Her experience includes a term as AHIMA President, and a three-year tenure on its Board of Directors. Jennifer is engaged in professional organizations at the national and state levels. She’s a member of AHIMA and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), holding Fellow certifications from both, and the American College of Health Data Management (ACHDM). She’s also a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and a Senior Member of the Health Information and Management Systems Society (SHIMSS). In Wisconsin, Jennifer has served as a two-time Past-President of WHIMA, participates in the Wisconsin Chapter of HIMSS, contributes to the HIPAA Collaborative of Wisconsin (HIPAACOW), and was Treasurer on the board of the Wisconsin Statewide Health Information Network (WISHIN). Her accolades include WHIMA’s Rising Star Award, Motivator Award, Distinguished Member Award, and Professional Practice Mentor Award. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science in HIM and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Elizabeth collaborates with clients to implement evidence-based best practices and oversees thought leadership initiatives. Elizabeth has worked in health information and release of information for 15+ years, covering all industry areas from customer service to compliance. She also worked on the team to create the AHIMA ROI microcredential. Elizabeth earned an MHA with a specialization in Health Informatics from Capella University, and a BA in Political Science from Illinois Wesleyan University.
